Happy New Year! And Valentine’s Day! And St. Patrick’s Day (Hey! I’m early on that one LOL)
Yes, it’s been a bit crazy here. A bit of depression biting at me, some family illness, some travel — and lots of writing!! I just wanted to say hi and check in. Oh! And the long-asked-for shop is open with a few things to start. Mostly DEAD END PAWN and SWAMP COMMANDO fun stuff, including the insulated wine cup you see above … Because if you spend time in Dead End, you may very welll need a fortifying glass of wine or six. Also, Navy Guy came up with “If you want to see it all, go Commando” and other fun sayings, so don’t blame me. 🤣
I’ve been working on revisions to my amazing epic quest fantasy book — think Cinderella meets Lord of the Rings — and I love this book so much. For the first time ever, I’m writing a book about a protagonist just like me: she has depression, too. But she fights through to become the heroine her world needs. It’s called NOBODY’S QUEST, and it’s coming out next summer, and I can’t wait for you to read it!! Rights have already sold in a huge way to multiple foreign publishers, and I already know I’ll be touring in the U.S., Germany, Spain, and the UK and hopefully more locations to come!! I hope to see you at one of my stops.
I’m also wrapping up work on A DEAD END WEDDING. This is going to be the craziest book yet — it’s not one mystery, it’s FIVE. Will Jack and Tess ever make it to the wedding? NOBODY KNOWS. (Not even the author!!!!)
FIVE. MYSTERIES. IN. ONE. BOOK.
You’ll see … So twisty!
AND …
ATLANTIS NEWS!!!
I’m finally getting the official rights reversion to book 1 of the Warriors of Poseidon, ATLANTIS RISING!! So my relaunch of the books will happen soon! I can’t wait to put them back out in the world with all new packaging (and in print!) for a whole new generation of readers to discover! Stay tuned for news there.
In personal news, I’m heading to France next month to visit a dear friend. We’re going to spend a few days in Paris and then a few in Carcassone in the south of France. If you
follow me on Instagram, you’ll see pictures. I’m so excited, and I’m brushing up on my French! It used to be pretty good, but I’m a bit rusty now.
In puppy news, all three are doing great. Penny is on a new arthritis medicine that has her jumping around like a puppy. Rosie is still the most adorable pug on the planet, and Louie is finally getting past his rescue-dog reactiveness, to some degree. Socialization at doggie daycare helps.
Finally, I just miss y’all. I’m climbing back up out of a gray place, and life is looking bright again. Please write back and tell me something fun you’re doing or send me a pet picture to help me on the road to sunshine!
Here I am with my new hair — back to the real redhead me. I was tired of bleaching it. My Irish grandparents would recognize me again! (No filters on this one, I’m just glowy from a facial LOL).
