Happy holidays! 2022 MUST be better! please!!
Happy holidays from my family to yours! We now have a brand-new college graduate princess – double major, summa cum laude! We’re so very proud and happy.
Well, 2021 has been way worse than hoped for, but now we’ve got 2022 coming and please, oh, PLEASE may it be better.
I keep seeing all these posts on social media about the many many things people have accomplished this year, and I’m happy for them. But … I think it’s important not to let seeing stuff like that get us down, or make us feel less-than when we compare ourselves to others.
This year? It was a big dang win just to survive. To do kind things for others–and be kind to ourselves. I hereby congratulate you for still being here after nearly two years of rampant, hideous, and mostly unrelieved horribleness.
I’ve had setback after setback this year, to the point where I considered giving up. Giving up writing, giving up publishing…just giving up.
But I’m still here. I’ve had to move books further out and fight with deadlines and writer’s block and a creative black hole. But … I’m still here. I refuse to give up. I know I have stories left to tell.
2022? Is going to be better. And we’re all going to be here! Because we are awesome. And determined. And stubborn. And–sometimes–that’s what it takes.
May your holidays be filled with light and love and may your 2022 begin with joy.

Ms. Day – Don’t give up! Your talent is awesome! I like Paranormal books that make me laugh! I have read/collected most of yours and have enjoyed every one – more than once! You are right 2020/2021 sucked the big one! BUT it is authors like you who bring joy to so many through escaping to somewhere different and amazing. Keep fighting the good fight! You are making a big difference in so many lives- you just don’t see it all the time!
